What is CO2 Laser Engraving?
A CO2 laser engraver uses a high-powered beam of infrared light (produced by carbon dioxide gas) to superheat material, creating cuts or engravings. The laser beam is precision-focused onto the material’s surface and controlled digitally using vectorised artwork, allowing for replication of complex designs and artwork, logos, and text. CO2 laser engraving offers high precision engraving on a variety of surfaces, at a much greater level of accuracy than traditional engraving methods; quick turnaround and cost-effectiveness make it a great choice for custom awards.

Materials for Engraving
CO2 laser engraving is versatile, making it suitable for engraving on a variety of materials. Most laser engravers are designed to work predominately with a flat engraving area; however, Platinum Awards has the capability to engrave cylindrical drinkware, glassware and reusable drinking devices.
Crystal
Our variety of crystal awards can be laser-engraved and etched to your specifications, allowing for stunning results. We often reverse laser engrave the artwork onto the back of our crystal awards as well, which offers more depth to your engraving. Crystal offers a premium, precision-engraved award.
Plastics
We work with a variety of plastic surfaces, from acrylic to Perspex and laminated plastics. Laser engravers on these surfaces can handle complex, high-precision designs, perfect for logos or artwork that is very detailed.
Glass
