Sublimation Process
Sublimation printing starts with a digital design – we can help you create one, or your in-house designer can provide us with the required designs. Then, through a digital printing process, heat is used to transfer a design from sublimation paper onto a ribbon. The heat converts the solid dye into a gas, which then penetrates the ribbon’s surface and solidifies, creating a permanent and vibrant image. Unlike other printing methods where the ink sits on top of the ribbon, sublimation printing embeds the ink within the ribbon material, for long-lasting and lively custom ribbons.

We stock thick, high-quality ribbons and offer a variety of widths and lengths for medals. We also have over 50 colour combinations available, from solid colour to striped colours, and we can customise as required in terms of printing logos, event names and more.
